Curing the Elderly and the Needy

The conduct of the said medical missions is the third part of the CLC- Wide project known as “Love In Action.” All Adventist members from Metro Manila and nearby provinces unite in making these medical missions a huge success.

Manila Adventist Medical Center Church (MAMCC) and the Philippine Dental Association (PDA) are among the generous providers of health care professionals that wilfully attended to the several health needs of patients by giving free check-ups, blood testing, basic medicine and vitamin supplies and oral hygiene utilities.

Leaders of Baranggay 721 Asuncion Street at Malate, Manila express their gratefulness about the medical and dental missions that are conducted for their constituents at the Paraiso ng Mga Batang Maynila, saying that their district is very fortunate to receive such warm concern, knowing that many of their constituents are spared from financial, physical and mental challenges of hospital medication

More than a hundred Senior Citizens also receive special attention as they gather at the Gil Puyat Avenue Corner, Donada St. in Pasay City. As a whole, the elderly patients acquired numerous benefits through the free Medical Check Up, Dental Check Up, Dermatology Consultation, Cardio Check Up, and Bone Scanning that are offered to them by the Senior Citizen Association under the CLC’s Family Life Ministries.

The elderly patients convey their heartfelt thanks by acknowledging how the medical mission greatly helped them in meeting their health needs despite of financial concerns.

Two elderly men named Mr. Elias Benitez from Cavite and Mr. Lemuel Santos from Pasay City highly commended the Medical Mission by explaining how it has been beneficial for all senior citizens of different status, as it caters to their several medical needs and concerns.

Together with his wife, Felly, Mr. Lambert Agunod from Taguig sincerely desire that medical missions such as this will continue, as they directly experience its rewarding privileges despite taking part in such activity for the first time in several years.

The simultaneous medical missions rendered to patients that come from various locations and with different backgrounds are only some of the vital parts of the Seventh Day Adventist Church’s mission in reaching out and serving people in our communities, with the purpose of proving the reality of CHRIST like love and care. As the overall theme says, it is “Love in Action” –a simple statement that summarizes what CHRIST said in Matthew 25:40: “Whatsoever you do to the rest of your brothers (and sisters), you also do to Me."
